Brač to Korcula & Lumbarda
From Brač to Korcula Island and Lumbarda:
There are several ways you can reach Lumbarda from Brač Island – either crossing by direct ferry if you are a foot passenger or, if you are coming by car crossing from Sumartin on Brač Island to Makarska on the mainland and drive along the coast via Neum, Ploce, Trpanj, and Orebic.

Foot Passengers from Brač to Korcula island and Lumbarda
There are two ferry companies that operate ferries from Brač to Korcula Town:
Krilo (Kapetan Luka) Ferries:
Kapetan Luka operates one ferry catamaran from Brač to Korčula Island:
- This ferry route runs from Milna port on Brač island via Hvar to Korčula Town and proceeding further to Mljet and Dubrovnik.
The route operates from May to October, departing from Milna on Brač daily at 08:10 and arriving in Korčula Town at 10:00.
Ticket prices are 110 HRK one way.
This route is in operation is in operation from April to October only.
Jadrolinija Ferries:
Jadrolinija ferry company operates also one ferry catamaran from Brač to Korčula Island:
- This route is a foot-passenger catamaran ferry during July and August from Bol port on Brač to Korčula Town.
This route operates from mid-June to mid-September, departing from Bol daily at 16:50 and arriving in Korčula Town at 19:00
Ticket prices are 120 HRK one way.
This route is in operation is in operation in July and August only.
Where to buy your tickets?
- You can buy your tickets for Kapetan Luka ferry online at krilo.hr site or at the ticket office in Milna town port.
- You can buy your tickets for Jadrolinija online at jadrolinija.hr site or at the ticket office in Bol town port.
- It is advisable to buy tickets in advance if available as these ferries get full pretty quickly.
Car Ferry from Brač to Korcula island and Lumbarda
Arriving by Car:
There are no direct car ferries from Brač island to Korcula island. To get to Lumbarda by car you will have to take a ferry from Sumartin port on Brač to Makarska on the mainland (timetable) and drive from there to Orebić on Peljesac. From Orebić take the car ferry to Dominče ferry port which is just under three kilometers away from Lumbarda. The whole journey will take you about four hours including 1 hr crossing by ferry. If you take Ploce to Trpanj ferry it will shorten your driving time (timetable).
Arriving by Bus:
You can also take a bus to Korčula Town from Makarska (on the mainland) (previously crossing there from Sumartin on Brač Island) and get to Lumbarda. The bus journey takes around 5 and half hours and gets from Makarska via Ploce to Orebić, crossing by car ferry to Korcula island and arriving in Korčula Town bus terminal. There is only one bus a day that goes from there to Korcula, at about 1:30 am, arriving in Korcula at 6:30 in the morning. This journey is difficult (night bus) and very long so you should use it only if other travel solutions are not suitable. The bus timetable is here.
Transfer or taxi:
Transfer and taxi option is available for arriving in Lumbarda from Brač. Taxi can pick you up in Makarska and get you to Lumbarda.
Speedboat transfers from Brač to Lumbarda are also possible but should be avoided if the weather is not suitable.
Arriving by Plane:
At the present, there are no flights to Korčula or Lumbarda from Brač Island.
